TacMed Solutions

TacMed Simulation™ builds rugged, high-fidelity medical simulators for trauma and emergency care training. The first TacMed manikin was developed under a research contract with the U.S. Army ARL-STTC for treating severe blast trauma. The range includes whole-body simulators, upper and lower body trainers, K9 simulators, task trainers and accessories. They are untethered and battery-operated, built to withstand field conditions, and give instructors real-time feedback on trainee performance.

TacMed Simulation™ designs realistic medical simulators for the people who respond first when it matters most. The first TacMed manikin was developed under a research and development contract with the U.S. Army ARL-STTC to create a new medical training system for severe blast trauma. The technology was so well received that it grew into a full product line for medics, first responders, military personnel and emergency response teams.

What makes TacMed different
Creative design: The simulators are shaped by artists and technicians with over 25 years of experience in Lucasfilm’s special effects division, Industrial Light and Magic (ILM).
Built to last: Urethane cores and durable synthetic or silicone skin make the simulators suitable for field exercises in nearly any environment or weather condition.
Lifelike physiology: Realistic appearance, feel, anatomical detail and accurate weight, combined with autonomous response to treatment, give learners an immersive experience.
Real-time sensor data: Sensors monitor interventions and patient status and send the data wirelessly to a remote control, so trainers can assess performance as it happens.
Untethered and modular: The battery-operated manikins have no cables, and upper and lower body units can be combined in different configurations.
Product range
